Lesson 4, Day 27: Broadcasters Must Adjust Their Content

Know the Direction of Your Energy.



Just as empathic receivers must learn to recognize the barrage of energies that belong to other people, broadcasters must be responsible for the content they send out. As for parasitic receivers, you must learn to recognize your own energy so you can stop seeking out others for direction and validation.


If you identify as a broadcaster, be aware of all the ways you send out energy. Notice everything you say or write, the music you choose to listen to and share with others, the content you watch, the video games you play and the social media accounts you host, follow or comment on. What exactly are you broadcasting? If your station had a slogan, what would it be? Loud, obnoxious and opinionated? Helpful, compassionate and uplifting? You choose the frequency you wish to contribute to the world.


There are enough loud, obnoxious and opinionated energies on the earth right now. No one needs it. No one benefits from shaming, blaming and fear. Be the voice of kindness. Be the person that listens first, with a heart that truly wants to hear what the other person is trying to say. If you can’t feel what’s behind the words, be curious. Ask the questions. Draw out exactly what someone else wants to say. Get past shame and blame and fear to see where this viewpoint is coming from.


It's okay to disagree with the content. When you're in disagreement with a broadcaster, understand that they are not likely to hear you at all. Their receptors are turned off. Proceed by saying, "I think differently about that," and walk away. That's all. Don't give your why or attempt to transform. A person who is habitually in broadcast mode is not wired to receive.


When you disagree with someone with staunch vehemence, don’t simply ask why this person thinks this way. Ask yourself why it bothers you. Why do you think you are under attack? What illusion in thinking had made you feel so unsafe? Use your broadcasting abilities to form the words of healing for others, as a means of healing yourself. Be the voice that raises the chorus another octave, not another decibel.

Spend time in complete silence. Turn off all the other noise that drives your competition. Turn off the television, the news feed, the comment fields. Your new habit is to say nothing while you are seeking to understand.


Today, whether you are a receiver or a broadcaster, breathe in deeply and hold in only the emotions you desire to feel. When you exhale, send out those emotions to all of your connections. Whatever you send out, that is the vibrational energy that will resonate back to you. If you want healing, send it out in waves. If you want joy, send out feelings of joy, especially for the people in your life who are angry and disruptive.


Affirmation: As I look in the mirror today, I love and accept myself fully. I am responsible for what I broadcast and what I receive. I focus on broadcasting and receiving energies of love, joy and peace.
