Lesson 9, Day 61: Break Down Your Walls

Feel Your Flow

Physical barriers prevent the passage of matter from one place to another. Cages, walls, doors and gates all serve to keep people, animals, or elements in or out.

Your energy must be allowed to flow into and out as well. What is blocking your flow? Is it a belief that you are not worthy of healing or love or blessings? Have you kept your heart closed off to feelings in order to protect yourself?

As children, we often feel like we have no control of our lives. We have someone else – a parent, teacher or religious influence – dictating all of our actions and emotions. We fear the unknown because it is out of our control.

To overcompensate, we may try to control everything. We control our emotions by suppressing anything uncomfortable. We control our relationships by becoming the dictator to those around us. We try to influence everyone and everything to think and do as we do. This type of micromanagement is a barrier to the natural flow of infinite possibilities. It’s an energetic wall that you’ve constructed in your mind.

On the other side of the spectrum, we may assume the position of follower. We are so afraid of and unaccustomed to feeling our own power that we allow others to push and pull us. We think that the power to heal, to love or to receive is outside of us. We think we will only heal if a divine force or miracle appears by grace or science. That is another energetic wall that prevents the flow of what is readily available to you.

Affirmation: Breathe. Fill up your body, mind and spirit with the breath that connects all. Feel the connection at the level of your heart. Breathe in through your heart, breathe out through your heart, focusing on the emotional energy you want to experience for yourself and every other being, without exception.
